Requirements:
- High School Diploma required. College graduates preferred.
- Minimum one year experience in laboratory processing human blood and urine specimens, including safe handling.
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
- Ability to interact with and assist all patients and staff members in a professional and culturally competent manner.

Summary:
The Lab Technician I’s position plays a significant role in the conduct of clinical trials. We are a high-volume clinical trial clinic and are looking for someone who is seeking to gain hands on experience in the medical field. You will be responsible for helping operate our in-house clinical research lab.
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight and knowledge of clinical research and the development of new pharmaceutical medications.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Obtain blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
- Perform simple laboratory testing and/or prepare specimen for lab testing.
- Operates laboratory equipment, such as centrifuges and incubators.
- Accurately recording patient or study demographics into electronic records.
- Performing inventory of supplies and reordering as needed.
- Coordinating proper disposal of expired lab kits.
- Filing and retrieving lab reports.
- Answering study queries, collaborating across departments to expedite information to central labs.
