What Is Anxiety?
Occasional anxiety is normal part of life being a human. People with Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) feel extremely worried about little things, daily chores, getting late for an appointments, paying bills etc. to an extent where it start effecting their daily functioning.
Common Signs and Symptoms of GAD:
- Persistent anxiety or worries that are out of proportion.
- Inability to let go of a worry
- Disturbed sleep
- Easy irritability
- Difficulty concentrating
- Ruminating thoughts, difficulty handling uncertainty
- Racing heart, heavy chest, butterflies in stomach
- Feeling restless, stressed, keyed up, tensed anxious, sweaty palms, pacing in a place
Northwest Clinical Research Center is conducting a phase 2 clinical trial to research the efficacy of CBD (cannabidiol oral solution) for participants who experience social anxiety.

The Northwest Clinical Research Center has the opportunity to evaluate several potential new medications for anxiety. But this cannot be done without research volunteers.

If you are feeling anxious most of the time, you are not alone.
Your first visit to Northwest Clinical Research Center will consist of a free mental health evaluation. You do not have to have previously been diagnosed with GAD.
All of the assessments done throughout the study are free of cost and study medication is also provided at no cost. We are looking for:
- We are looking for volunteers taking an approved antidepressant medication for Anxiety without the desired results.
Duration
- 10 weeks
No Cost Study
There is no cost to participate in this clinical study. The participant, if they qualify, will receive:
- Medical evaluation.
- Investigational medication.
- Study related medical care.
- Compensation available.
- Travel assistance available.
