Cutting Edge Research into Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Although medications such as SSRI antidepressants are approved for the symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), these medications are far from effective for many patients who have this diagnosis. At this time there are no other options for the several patients who do not respond to approved SSRIs.
Researchers have recently begun to examine if better treatments can be developed for patients that have difficult to treat obsessive compulsive disorder. Specifically, there is evidence that targeting the glutamate system may lead to improved control of OCD symptoms. Thus, the Northwest Clinical Research Center is part of a clinical trial being conducted to evaluate this question. This research cannot take place without the help of volunteers.

Prerequisites
You could qualify for this study if:
- You are between the ages of 18 and 65.
- You continue to experience symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder despite taking an approved medication.No Cost Study

- Approximately 24 months.

There is no cost to participate in the study, and the study participant will receive the following if they are eligible:
